What you’ll do

As an AI Engineer at InsTech Netherlands, you will play a pivotal role in our forward-thinking AI team, contributing to the development of advanced algorithms that lie at the heart of our cutting-edge solutions. You will be involved in the entire lifecycle of algorithm creation, from initial design and implementation to rigorous quality evaluation, performance optimization, and seamless deployment. Your work will directly shape the future of our products, ensuring they remain at the forefront of technological innovation.

This is a highly dynamic and versatile role where you will work hand-in-hand with a multidisciplinary team, including software engineers, hardware engineers, and designers. Together, you will push the boundaries of what’s possible with our high-end X-ray products, introducing groundbreaking AI-powered functionalities that redefine the standards of security and inspection technology. Your contributions will not only enhance our products but also drive meaningful impact across industries worldwide.

Your key responsibilities

•   Develop computer vision algorithms for object detection, classification, and segmentation in X-ray and CT scans.

•   Work with large datasets, including 2D and 3D images.

•   Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver innovative solutions.

What we’re looking for

•   A proactive, responsible, and motivated individual with a strong ability to learn quickly and communicate effectively.

•   Practical experience in machine learning, deep learning, pattern recognition, or computer vision.

•   Proficiency in C/C++ and Python.

•   Hands-on experience with frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.

•   Familiarity with Linux, Docker, and Git.

•   Bonus: Experience with CUDA programming, cuDNN, TensorRT, or optimizing image algorithms on embedded platforms.

•   Strong algorithm implementation skills and experience in academic contests are a plus.

•   Interest in the research and productization of deep learning algorithms for computer vision.

Qualifications

•   A master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

•   0-3 years of work experience.

•   Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
