This Privacy Statement from InsTech Netherlands B.V. with its registered office in Rotterdam, at Wilhelminaplein 143, 3072AP Rotterdam (“InsTech Netherlands”), will explain how our organization uses the personal data we collect from you when you use our website www.instechnl.com.

GENERAL INFORMATION

We make every effort to maintain the privacy of all information we hold about you. This document explains the principles and manner of collection, processing and use of information about the users of our website: www.instechnl.com (“Website”). Please read the document carefully in order to understand our privacy policy and the ways in which we process your personal data.

InsTech Netherlands is the Website Operator and acts as the Data Controller of the personal data collected through the use of the Website.

Through use of the Website, personal data is processed in accordance with the principles set forth in the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation, or “GDPR”)).

1) WHAT PERSONAL DATA DO WE COLLECT

  • If you use the Website, InsTech Netherlands may collect the following personal data from you:
  • First and last name;
  • Email address;
  • Telephone number;
  • Country or residence;
  • Name of your work station, – identification by HTTP;
  • If you are a Job Applicant, we collect information that we are provided within the submitted application documents, provided to us during discussions, meetings, and/or when we exchange e-mails. These can include, in particular, your first and last name, other identification data, contact details as well as information on your education and experience;
  • If you use the contact form for other purposes, the message you leave in the contact form, and any information you provide subsequently;
  • Time of visit, pages visited, and time spent on each page of the web pages;
  • Referring to site details (such as the URI a user came through to arrive at this site);
  • Type of web browser;
  • Type of operating system (OS);
  • JavaScript support, screen resolution, and screen color processing ability;
  • Network location and IP address.

2) HOW DO WE COLLECT YOUR DATA

When using the Website or the services and/or products provided by InsTech Netherlands, InsTech Netherlands is provided with most of the data of the users (“Users”). And their behavior through the use of the Website. We collect data and process data when you:

  • provide information voluntarily in the different electronic forms available via the Website (e.g. Careers, Contact etc.),
  • use or view our Website via your browsers’ cookie files (“cookies”) stored on terminal devices,
  • through collection of www server logs by the hosting operator
  • voluntarily provide information to us when ordering InsTech Netherlands products and/or services.

3) INFORMATION ABOUT SERVER LOGS

Information about certain User behaviours is subject to logging in the server layer. The information is used solely for server administration purposes and in order to ensure the most efficient support possible for the hosting services provided.

Browsed resources are identified by URLs. The following information can also be stored and used for server administration purposes, but is not associated with particular persons browsing the Website:

  • name of the client’s workstation – identification by http,
  • information about errors which occurred during the execution of an http transaction,
  • URL of the website previously visited by the user (referrer link) – if the user has been redirected to the Service via link,
  • information about the User’s browser,
  • information about the IP address.

4) HOW WILL WE USE YOUR PERSONAL DATA & PROCESSING GROUNDS

InsTech Netherlands collects your data through the Website, so that it is possible to:

  • Contact the User by e-mail (“Contact Us” tab) to follow up on the message of request of the User;
  • Follow up on recruitment (“Careers” tab);
  • Email you with special offers on other products and services we think you might be interested in;
  • Making the information available to the competent state authorities, at their request, on the basis of the relevant legal provision.

Personal data of the Users may be processed for the purpose for which the data was collected on the Website. We do so on the following processing grounds:

  • InsTech Netherlands’ fulfilment of the obligations imposed on it by legal provisions;
  • Consent  in relation to the sending of marketing e-mails.

5) HOW DO WE STORE YOUR DATA?

InsTech Netherlands securely stores your data spread out in 4 datacentres in the Netherlands. InsTech Netherlands ensures appropriate technical and organisational measures to guarantee security of personal data made available by the Users, in particular measures which prevent access to such data by third parties or processing thereof contrary to legal provisions, data loss, damage or destruction. The measures employed comply with the GDPR.

InsTech Netherlands stores (retains) data collected via the Website for as long as necessary under legal or regulatory grounds or as long as necessary to achieve any of the legitimate processing purposes set out above.

6) MARKETING

You have the right at any time to stop InsTech Netherlands from contacting you for marketing purposes, or providing your data to other members of the InsTech Netherlands group of companies, by withdrawing your consent. The withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.

7) WHAT ARE YOUR DATA PROTECTION RIGHTS

InsTech Netherlands would like to make sure that you are fully aware of your data protection rights. Every User is entitled to the following data protection rights:

  • The right to access: you have the right to request InsTech Netherlands for copies of your personal data. We may not charge a fee for this service, unless the request relates to any further copies requested by the data subject.
  • The right to rectification: You have the right to request that InsTech Netherlands corrects any information that you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request InsTech Netherlands to complete information you believe is incomplete.
  • The right to erasure: You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data. Under certain conditions InsTech Netherlands must end the processing of your data as a result of such objection. For as far as InsTech Netherlands processes data for direct marketing purposes, InsTech Netherlands must always end the processing as a result of an objection (see also under “Marketing” above).
  • The right to erasure: You have the right to request that InsTech Netherlands erase your personal data, under certain conditions.
  • The right to restrict processing: You have the right to request that InsTech Netherlands restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
  • The right to data portability: You have the right to request that InsTech Netherlands transfer the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions.

8) Security

InsTech Netherlands highly values the security and protection of your personal data and, taking into account the state of art, provides appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure a risk-appropriate security level. In case InsTech Netherlands uses services of third parties, such as an IT-supplier, in the context of the protection of personal data, agree on adequate security measures in a processor agreement.

9) PRIVACY POLICIES OF OTHER WEBSITES

The Website may contain links to other websites. Our privacy statement applies only to our Website, so if you click on a link to another website, you should read their privacy statement. InsTech Netherlands is not responsible for the processing of your personal data on any third-party website.

10) CHANGES TO OUR PRIVACY STATEMENT

InsTech Netherlands keeps its privacy statement under regular review and places any updates on this web page. This privacy statement was last updated on August 19, 2024.
