As a Junior Sales Engineer, you’ll play a crucial role in maintaining and expanding our commercial activities. You’ll act as the linchpin between technology and commerce, supporting our field sales force in delivering top-tier solutions to our customers. From conceptualizing technical and commercial proposals to working closely with specialists and customers, this is a role where your expertise truly makes a difference.
Your role as Junior Sales Engineer
As a Junior Sales Engineer, you’ll be at the forefront of customer interactions, helping translate their needs into technically and commercially viable solutions. You’ll support the sales team by preparing offers, estimating risks, and ensuring smooth project execution. With your expertise in X-ray products and market insights, you’ll advise customers and guide them toward the best solutions.
Whether you’re negotiating contracts, optimizing pricing strategies, or visiting clients alongside the sales team, you’ll be shaping the future of security technology while developing strong customer and supplier relationships.
Key responsibilities
Account Management
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with customers and commercial partners.
- Perform active sales activities, including price negotiations, contract discussions, and delivery planning.
- Set up and execute account strategies, ensuring growth and business development.
- Identify opportunities within market segments and collaborate with sales teams to maximize results.
- Oversee aftersales activities and maintain high customer satisfaction.
- Ensure smooth and timely delivery of solutions based on customer needs.
Product Management
- Conduct market research to identify potential new products and suppliers.
- Develop and execute pricing strategies while ensuring profitability and cost efficiency.
- Maintain strong partnerships with suppliers to secure optimal product offerings.
Analysis & Strategy
- Gain insight into market trends, industry indicators, and customer demands.
- Plan and maintain an efficient sales pipeline with clear targets and projected margins.
- Ensure compliance with information security policies and manage confidential data securely.
What we’re looking for
- You have a bachelor’s degree, preferably in industrial or aviation engineering, and a strong interest in sales and technology.
- Fluency in English (Dutch is a plus) with excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
- You think strategically, build relationships easily, and know how to identify market opportunities.
- You assess risks, calculate costs, and develop commercially sound solutions.
- You know how to put the customer first and translate their needs into the best technical solutions.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 and other digital tools.
